CENIEH - Centro Nacional de Investigación sobre la Evolución Humana

Facilities - Research Infrastructure

In the heart of Burgos, the CENIEH harbours the most modern technologies in support of high quality research. Laboratories, support services and working spaces are equipped not only to achieve the highest standards of research but also for analytical services for industry and society. CENIEH is the only centre in the Socio-economic Sciiences and Humanities category of the National Research Infrastructure Map of ICTS.

MERIL, the European RI landscape mapping initiated by the European Science Foundation and the European Commission, includes CENIEH, where more information about our laboratories and services can be found.

CENIEH ratifies the European Commission's European Charter for Access to Research Infrastructures published March 2016.

Conceived as an essential part of Burgos' Human Evolution Complex right next to the old town centre, neighbours of the Museum of Human Evolution and only 20 km. from the Atapuerca archeaological sites, the CENIEH combines accessibility with an outstanding environment for conferences and meetings.
