The CENIEH restores and preserves the stored collections that come from archaeological and paleontological sites. Its collections are expected to increase constantly as new archaeological and paleontological remains arrive from different sites, especially those linked to research teams of the Centre. For this reason the Collections Area has adequate spaces for the storage of a large amount of pieces, guaranteeing the right conditions for their preservation in the long term. Additionally, data base systems are being designed to classify the collections and to maintain the contextual information linked to them, something that will ease access to the pieces and the contextual information.
