NATIONAL RESEARCH CENTRE ON HUMAN EVOLUTION

The research team led by Prof. José Mª Bermúdez de Castro Risueño, Director of CENIEH, (code GR 249) has been catalogued by Junta de Castilla y León as Excelent Research Group, thanks to their research experience. This Group works on the evolution of human populations in the Pleistocene, the ecosystems they inhabited and the sites where archaeo-paleonthological evidences are found. Several methodologies are applied to these studies.
Being considered Excelent Research Group implies also a generous economic funding to support research activities and the acquisition of scientific equipment.
