Quaternary stratigraphy and sedimentary environments
This research line studies Neogene and Quaternary successions under a stratigraphic and sedimentological point of view, with particular attention to continental and coastal deposits. The aim is to reconstruct stratigraphic sequences, contextualize the prehistoric evidence, and understand the dynamics of Quaternary sedimentary systems, in order to attain paleogeographical, paleoenvironmental and paleoecological interpretations.
