NATIONAL RESEARCH CENTRE ON HUMAN EVOLUTION

The analysis of soils and paleosols, their organization and distribution, soil formation processes, as well as the reconstruction of pedostratigraphic context and soil classification are the aims of this research line. The tasks are developed through pedological and paleopedological perspectives, to reconstruct the palaeoclimatic and palaeoenvironmental significance of soil formation processes during Neogene and Quaternary times, and the relationships between prehistoric settlement and soil.
