Today Her Majesty Queen Sofía has received a delegation from Centro Nacional de Investigación sobre la Evolución Humana (CENIEH) headed by its director María Martinón Torres at the Palacio de la Zarzuela, on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Center.

Precisely it was H.M. Queen Sofía who a decade ago, on July 7, 2009, inaugurated this first building of the Complex of Human Evolution, and to commemorate this event during the royal audience she has been given a sculpture by the artist Javier Sanz, which represents the CENIEH logo.

The CENIEH delegation, which has included a representation of all its areas and research programs, has had the opportunity to discuss with the Queen about the great development that CENIEH has experienced in the last ten years, and has invited her to visit again its facilities in the near future.
