Affiliated researcher. Paleobiology program
Laura Martín-Francés Martín de la Fuente is a Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral fellow at Centro Mixto ( UCM-ISCIII) de Evolución y Comportamiento Humanos, and member of the Atapuerca Research Team. Her research focuses in the source and pattern of settlement of the Pleistocene European hominins through the morphometric characterization of the dental inner structure of hominins, including Atapuerca collections, by applying mCT technique, 3D reconstruction software and Geometric Morphometrics. In the coming years, she will develop a new research line in dental biomechanics that aims to investigate how our ancestors adapted to dietary repertories from biomechanical perspective.
