Competitive access call open for the Computed Microtomography laboratory

The call will cover the performance of experiments from April 13, 2026 to July 13, 2026.
- Rate A, as established in the general rates published at the time of the resolution, will apply to accepted applications under the competitive access scheme.
- To submit your proposal, register with the User Office before creating your proposal, or use your username and password to create it. Fill in the Competitive Access tab and select the code MI2026-I.

Request for Microcomputed Tomography MI2026-I
This call aims to provide access to the computed microtomography equipment (GE V/Tome/XS and TESCAN CoreTOM models) at CENIEH for the development of scientific research projects using these instruments. A total of 143 hours* are available.
The access cycle will cover experiments from April 2026 to July 2026.
To submit your proposal you must:
- Register or log in to the CENIEH User Office portal using your username and password.
- Select the Competitive Access tab and choose the code MI2026-I. Attach the MI2026-I COMPETITIVE REPORT (click on the name to download the template) and the CVA of the Principal Investigator (PI) and/or applicant.
- In the Project/Experiment section, specify:
- Number of samples to be analyzed.
- Their characteristics (dimensions, weight, composition, and any other relevant information for technical planning).
It is essential to attach the project report using the template available on the website, as well as the CVA of the Principal Investigator and/or applicant. All required information must be complete in order for the application to be evaluated.
Applications received after the deadline and/or without the required documentation will not be evaluated.

You may submit your proposals between February 18 and March 15, 2026, before 11:59 p.m. (mainland Spain time). Any electronic application received after the above-mentioned date and time will not be evaluated in this call.
* For technical and operational reasons, it is recommended that each application does not exceed 35 hours. If the experiment requires more usage time, it is recommended to split it and submit it in successive competitive windows, whenever possible
